Vashisht Asrani

Vashisht Asrani is a research, evaluation, and community engagement specialist who has been working in the social purpose sector since 2017. His work spans arts and culture, education, equity, food systems, health and wellbeing, and policy and governance, with additional focus on community and youth development, programming for older adults, and capacity building in research and evaluation. Drawing on lived experience as a first-generation immigrant, racialized person, and religious and linguistic minority, Vashisht is motivated by mission-driven work that advances equity and social justice. He brings strong technical skills in evaluation design, data collection and analysis, framework development, facilitation, and translating data into clear, compelling insights that help organizations understand and strengthen their impact.

With Roots & Rivers, Vashisht works on evaluation and research projects, including community-engaged research and reporting. He is comfortable working in English, Hindi, and Spanish.

Outside of work, Vashisht enjoys working out, learning languages, playing the guitar, and traveling.
